Angle: viewpoint is related to the Senser of a mental clause, with the sense of ‘as … thinks’ (Halliday & Matthiessen 2004: 276), but also occurs in relational clauses that are agnate with mental ones (Halliday & Matthiessen 2004: 277).  In the sample clause above, the Angle: viewpoint is related to the Attributor of a relational clause, as the agnate clause below makes explicit:
